Is persona fixed?

Are humans preprogrammed

Is our free will nixed

Are emotions influenced

By the aggregate of thought?

Can we sculpt our sentiments

And responses or not?

Can we alter moods

Which brood upon the psyche’s stage?

Can we change the way we feel

And break out of our cage?

Self-determination surely

Suggests we can choose

To alter will, and thought, to feel

Emotions we produce

This does not suggest

That all reactions should be merry

For righteous indignation

Warns the evil to be wary
