The Envisagement

Who would have known once his eyes had beholden

The change to take place

That his mind now was open to love

Sure of the truth as to what he had seen

Stilled and raptured his heart 

To the taste of transcendent reality

From his childhood in story he'd been told of it

Stunned by the light with his face now beholding it

Wrapped in the power that had lifted up the veil

Fell from his eyes the dark scales

Fused enlightenment

Quenched by the fire of life

Inside the visage of the One

Face in all faces

Our common link 

And the source of our individual light

Gives animation

All things that live and breathe, breed or be

In Him have their life

Seen in the substance of all his creation

Seen at the center of all goodness and truth we espy

The spark of the word struck and lit his eyes within

His thought raced with even flow in multiple trajectories

That pooled in the center of a gravitating consciousness

A flood of awareness illumined his soul

Quickened his mind caught a glimpse of the whole

Leaving the world of his childlike play

Getting the obstacles out of the way

Stretching himself in the heat of the day

His aim now secure and his heart on the way to it
