Super Imposition
Society labels each soul
With its superimposition
Yet definitions they provide
Prove often in transition
It overlays identity
With scant relative values
Legitimizing its own mores
By the same ruler’s foul use
Such forces used to sculpt us
Then cast blame on their creation
Projecting their shortcomings
Onto us without relation
And so it’s wise to question
Our self-image and the mirror
And calibrate appraisal
To a conscience pure and clear
