When I Dream in Color
A vision is born in the mind of a dreamer
So innocent he can't disbelieve it
Transparent as life and as clear as the firmament
As voices ride on an ancient wind
A sound is heard ringing
Listen
When you abandon ship you banish all hope
And if you doubt your dreams you'll never achieve them
So if you're getting down to the end of your rope
If you can just believe the world will receive
In the process of time your vision may be their own
Many artists starve
Many poet's been in need
But I take heart
Every time I dream in color
The mountain calls out for his passion to meet him
In the heat of the climb he'll fall bruised and bleeding
But coming to life as he comes to the summit of his goal
His labors bearing their fruit at last
The realization is in his grasp
Hold on!
To your dreams
Just believe
Time fades
look towards the hour
When the dreamer comes to power
All our dreams we call forth now to live
An immortal breath exhaled in the midst
